This journal is published online as two issues per year. It publishes articles on the individual's relation to education and work, focusing broadly on career transitions and guidance in institutional, social and policy contexts. The journal especially seeks articles that contribute to novel insights into the practice and ethics of career guidance, and education across the lifespan. Articles from diverse disciplines and theoretical perspectives are welcomed given the multidisciplinary nature of the field, for example pedagogy, sociology, psychology and political science, but also ethnology, history and anthropology.
The journal includes topics such as: career development, choice, transitions, adjustment, family-work, life role management, role of guidance in society; social justice, sustainability, access and use of ICT; policies, organization and approaches in career guidance practice. The objective is to provide a forum for theoretically informed debates based on empirical work and critical analysis on careers concerning also the application ethics, and policies in career guidance.
